The border closure was causing a lot of economic loss
Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that today's action was taken only because the state was suffering a lot of economic loss due to the farmers' border closure. Also, we want to eliminate drug addiction from the state. Drug addiction will end only when unemployment ends. To eliminate unemployment, we need industry in the state. But many businessmen are facing problems due to the protest. Punjab has suffered a huge loss due to the closure of both the borders. Due to which today's action was implemented.
