During Navratri, an accident took place near the Garhi Canal Bridge under Thana Machhiwara Sahib in Khanna. A family from Ludhiana was returning after paying obeisance at Naina Devi. On the way, their car met with an accident. The mother died in the collision between the car and the canter, while the son and daughter in the car were seriously injured.
According to the information, the deceased was identified as Pushpa Devi. Her son Sukhdeep and daughter are seriously injured. Both were referred from Samrala Civil Hospital to the Government Hospital in Sector-32, Chandigarh. This accident happened due to the car driver falling asleep. There was a strong collision with the canter. Due to which smoke started coming out of the car.
Farmers came and rescued the trapped people
Farmers harvesting paddy in the nearby fields came to the spot and first called the fire brigade station and then pulled out the injured trapped in the car.
Taken to hospital
When the ambulance did not arrive for a long time, the injured were taken to Civil Hospital Samrala with the help of passersby. Doctors declared Pushpa Devi dead. Pushpa's son and daughter are seriously injured. According to the information, Dr. Sancharika Shah, posted on emergency duty, said that three injured were brought to the hospital. The woman had died. Her injured son and daughter were referred after giving first aid.
