Punjab and Center have once again come face to face due to internet service being shut down in three districts of Punjab. Considering the seriousness of this matter, the Punjab Government has written a letter to the Center and lodged a strong objection. Along with this, there has been a demand to restore this service immediately. Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang said that it is wrong for the Center to shut down internet service in the districts of Punjab. However, an objection has been lodged with the Central Government in the matter. CM Bhagwant Mann himself has taken cognisance of this thing.
In fact, internet services were affected in areas falling under Shatruna, Samana, Ghanaur, Devigarh and Balbhera police stations in Patiala district. Internet was also shut down in Khanauri, Moonak, Lehra, Sunam and Chhajli police stations in Sangrur district.
