Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is going to present the budget for the 8th time on February 1. In this budget, common people can get great relief in many things. The most discussed thing is the prices of petrol and diesel. It is being said that in this budget, the government should reduce the excise duty on petrol and diesel, due to which a significant drop in its prices can be seen.
About 20 rupees excise duty is levied on petrol
At present, the government imposes an excise duty of Rs 19.90 on petrol in the country. While it is Rs 15.80 on diesel. By reducing this excise duty, the government is considering reducing the prices of petrol and diesel. Due to which petrol and diesel will become cheaper and common people will get great relief.
CII has recommended to the government
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has recommended the government to reduce the excise duty on petrol and diesel. If the government accepts this demand, then there is a possibility that the prices of petrol and diesel will be reduced. This will give some relief to people from inflation.
