A PRTC bus overturned near Bhawanigarh on Sangrur-Patiala National Highway, in which about 12-14 passengers have suffered serious injuries. According to the information, this bus was going from Patiala to Bathinda. But when the bus reached the nearby Honey Dhaba, suddenly a tanker came on the road, due to which the bus lost its balance while overtaking and this accident happened.
As soon as the information of the accident was received, the police team reached the spot and the injured were immediately taken to the Civil Hospital of Bhawanigarh. At present, there is no loss of life in the accident.
Two days ago, a Punjab Roadways bus full of passengers collided with a tree in Gurdaspur. The bus was completely damaged in this. There was a lot of screaming on the spot after the bus accident.
3, 4 passengers suffered minor injuries
The passengers narrowly escaped due to the presence of mind of the Punjab Roadways bus driver. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot. SHO of the police station Baljeet Kaur said that three to four passengers suffered minor injuries but they were sent away after giving first aid. The government bus has been damaged in this incident.
An accident had happened earlier too, 3 people had died
On 1 October also, a bus full of passengers of a private company met with an accident in Gurdaspur. 3 people died in the accident. The bus was going from Batala to Mohali. During this, a bike suddenly came in front of the bus on Batala-Qadian road. While trying to save the bike rider, the bus collided with the wall, in which 3 people died, while 10-15 people were injured. The bus was completely damaged in this.
