Ayodhya Ram Mandir Fact Check 500 Rupee Note
500 rupee note is trending on social media with pictures of Lord Shri Ram and Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya. If we look at the note, where there is a picture of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi in the 500 rupee note, there is a picture of Lord Shri Ram in the 500 rupee note that is going viral and where there is a photo of the Red Fort on the back of the note, there is a picture of the Ram temple being built in Ayodhya. On the one hand, this note is going viral but no information has come out from RBI about issuing new series of Rs 500 notes with the picture of Lord Shri Ram. Ramlala is to be consecrated in the grand Ram temple being built in Ayodhya on 22 January 2024. There is a lot of enthusiasm about this in the country also. Meanwhile, the photo of Rs 500 note with the pictures of Lord Shri Ram and the Ram temple being built in Ayodhya is continuously going viral on social media.
500 rupee note going viral is fake
According to sources, the Rs 500 note going viral with pictures of Lord Shri Ram is fake. Banking sector expert and founder of Voice of Banking, Ashwani Rana said, no such announcement has been made nor any information given by RBI. He said that this is a fake news. RBI is not going to issue any such new series note of Rs 500.
RBI came forward to refute the news
This is not the first time that the issue of new series of Rs 500 notes has come to light. In June 2022, it was being reported that RBI is considering printing a new series of notes with the pictures of Rabindranath Tagore and Missile Man former President APJ Kalam by replacing the picture of Mahatma Gandhi in the existing currency and bank notes. Subsequently, RBI had to come out to deny this news. Then RBI had said that such a proposal is not before RBI.
