To make women self-reliant, Nari Chetna Welfare Society has started the 9th sewing course in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar. This course was started under the chairmanship of society chairperson Kusum Sharma and Pradhan Anju Sharma with the cooperation of Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee.

Surinder Kaur Bathla, Satwinder Kaur Neela Mahal were the chief guests. Sanju Gupta, Secretary of Nari Chetna Welfare Society, while managing the stage, told people about the achievements of the society. 350 girls have been taught sewing
Nari Chetna Welfare Society has opened 8 sewing centers so far. In which the society has taught sewing to 350 girls. Apart from this, it has also given copies, books, sweaters, shoes and free medicines from time to time to flood victims and needy children.
