The monsoon session of Punjab Assembly will start from 2nd September and will continue till 4th September. This decision has been taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. All laws passed in the session will be approved. Amendment in Punjab Fire Safety Rules was also approved in the meeting. In which people will have to take NOC related to fire safety not every year but after three years.
Women will be able to join the fire department
The recruitment rules of the fire department will be amended. In which women can also participate. The old rules were in force for a long time. Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and Aman Arora have said this in the press conference.
Counsellors will get allowance in family court
Giving information, Harpal Cheema said that the counselors posted in the Family Court of Punjab will now get a daily allowance of Rs 600. In this meeting, it has been approved to increase the allowance because earlier they were getting Rs 75 per day allowance. Which is very less in today's time.
Sports policy approved
A proposal has also been approved for the care of disabled children in the state. The state's first sports policy has also been approved. He told that a cadre of 500 posts will be created for the winning players. This will include 460 senior posts and 40 deputy director posts.
State Youth Services Policy proposal approved
Apart from this, the State Youth Services Policy 2024 proposal has been approved. Cheema said that there will be a youth club in every village. In which people between 15 to 35 years will be made members. For which a budget of around Rs 8 crore has been kept. He said that the area near Shivalik will be developed to promote adventure sports. A policy has already been prepared in this regard.
