Many changes in the new rules regarding appointment of priests: According to the new rules made for the appointment of new priests, the post of chief priest has been abolished. Meanwhile, Acharya Satyendra Das Shastri, working on the post of chief priest, has been kept free in view of his condition and health. He has been assured by Ayodhya Shri Ramjanmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra that he will remain in his post for life and will keep coming to the temple as per his convenience. Apart from this, the four assistant priests working with him will not be given the benefit of their seniority in the promotion of the post. At the same time, whatever facilities were available to them, they will continue as before.
Information about the new rules to the assistant priests
Shri Ramjanmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra held a meeting of the four assistant priests and informed them about the new rules, along with it it was told that out of the 16-point rules applicable to the new priests, 15 rules will be applicable to all of them. The rule which is not applicable to them is of the facility of mobile recharge in addition to residential and local travel allowance for the new priests.
Also follow the rules of Bhitriya and Baharia
Along with this, the rules of Bhitriya and Baharia will also have to be followed. That is, the priests who will worship in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple will not go out of the temple during duty hours. Similarly, those whose duty will be outside the sanctum sanctorum will not enter inside. Apart from this, keeping a distance from the media, one will also have to stay away from any kind of rhetoric.
Duty of new priests expected to start from today
There is a possibility of ten new priests starting their duty from Wednesday on the festival of Margashirsha Shukla Ekadashi. However, no indication was given by the Tirtha Kshetra in this regard, rather complete secrecy has been maintained. That too when the invited member of the Tirtha Kshetra and temple construction in-charge Gopal Rao went to his Ram temple on Monday evening with the newly appointed priests and gave necessary instructions to everyone.
Being trained under short term course
It was told that nine priests were involved during this time. A newly appointed priest has not come yet due to the Sutak in his house. It was told that all the newly appointed priests are being trained under short term courses. However, according to the new rules, their retirement will also be based on the age of 60 years (date of birth). They will also have to follow the dress code.
Other shops' Prasad banned for Ramlala's Bhog
The sweets bought from outside shopkeepers for offering to Ramlala between Mangala Aarti and Shayan Aarti have been banned. The process of making this Prasad and offering it in Ramniwas temple by Shri Ramjanmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra has started from Tuesday. However, due to the complete system not being developed yet, the Prasad (sweets) given to VIPs is coming from the shop itself. This was confirmed by Sitaram Yadav, a businessman who has been sending Bhog Prasad to the temple for generations.
