Who is Narayan Singh Chaura?
Narayan Singh Chaura went to Pakistan in 1984, he has been involved in smuggling of arms and explosives. During his stay in Pakistan, Narayan Chaura has also allegedly written a book on guerrilla warfare and seditious literature. About a dozen cases were registered against him under the Explosives Act at Civil Lines police station in Amritsar on 8 May 2010. He is accused of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in Amritsar, Tarn Taran and Ropar districts.
In August 2018, he came out of jail after serving a five-year sentence. Several cases are registered against him under the Explosives Act. About a dozen cases are registered against him. Narayan Singh is also accused in the Chandigarh jail break case.
Accused of helping terrorists
Four Khalistani terrorists escaped from Chandigarh's Burail jail in 2004. Narayan Singh is accused of helping these terrorists. However, the court acquitted the accused in this case. Narayan Singh Chowda is a resident of Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur. He also has connections with Babbar Khalsa.
At the same time, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has strongly condemned the attack on former Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal at the gate of Sri Darbar Sahib. Along with this, CM Mann has issued strict instructions to the police to immediately investigate the incident and submit a report.

I have issued strict instructions to the police to investigate the incident immediately and submit a report.
