Internet service has been shut down as a precautionary measure for two days following post-poll violence in Saran and Chapra of Bihar. According to the information, there was firing between RJD and BJP supporters in Chapra in which a youth has died. While two have been seriously injured. All are said to be supporters of RJD.
Let us tell you that the incident took place near Telpa Bhikhari Chowk of Mufassil police station on Tuesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Chandan Rai. While the injured have been identified as Guddu Rai, Manoj Rai. One injured has been referred to Patna PMCH, the condition of the other is fine.
Uproar over arrest of culprits
People are creating ruckus regarding the arrest of the culprits. SP Gorav Mangala himself has taken charge of the marcha. Efforts are being made to convince people. The entire area has been converted into a police camp. SP has said that as a precaution, internet will be closed in Chapra for some time.
Clash between BJP and RJD supporters
According to the information, regarding the matter, SP Gaurav Mangala said that there was a clash between BJP and RJD supporters during voting yesterday. Today there has been firing in response to that. Saran DM Aman Sameer has accepted the death. Several rounds have been fired. Yesterday (May 20) tension increased during the elections when Rohini Acharya came to booth number 118. During this period there was stone pelting between the two sides.
