If you have been challaned and you have not paid it yet, then your vehicle will be blacklisted. After being blacklisted, you will not get the benefit of any kind of government service. Orders for this have been issued by the government.
Pay the challan within 90 days
Jalandhar RTO officer Balbir Raj Singh said that according to the instructions issued by the government, the challan has to be paid within 90 days. If the challan is not paid during this time, then he cannot avail the benefits of RC renewal, duplicate RC, RC transfer, insurance and pollution etc.
Appealed to pay the challan
Balbir Raj Singh appealed to the common people to deposit the outstanding amount of their challan in the RTO office in Jalandhar. He said that if the outstanding amount of the challan is not deposited, the concerned vehicles will be blacklisted under Section 167 under the Central Motor Vehicle Rules 1989.
