Punjab and Haryana High Court has ordered to open the closed roads on Shambhu border. The High Court has given these orders to the Haryana Government. The High Court has said that the Haryana government should remove the barricades within a week. A petition was filed in the High Court in this regard.
Asked Haryana government to remove barricades within a week
The High Court said that the situation at Shambhu border is peaceful and the demands of the farmers are from the Central Government. Therefore, they should be allowed to go towards Delhi. The High Court has ordered the Haryana government to vacate the road and remove the barricade within a week. In this petition filed in the High Court, it has been said that due to the farmers' movement, NH-44 is closed for the last 5 months. People are facing a lot of trouble due to this.
Instructions given to maintain law and order
The High Court has given orders to both Punjab and Haryana. While Haryana removed the barricades put up by the police, Punjab should remove the farmers from there. Instructions have also been given to maintain law and order. If there is a law and order situation then the government can take whatever decision it wants. The same order has also been given to the Punjab Government to maintain law and order.
The movement has been going on since 13th February
The farmers' movement is going on since February 13 on the call of United Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan-Labor Morcha. The farmers had set out to march to Delhi on tractor-trolleys with their demands, but they were stopped by the police at the Shambhu border. After which there was a clash between the police and the farmers. As the farmers moved forward, tear gas shells were fired at them by the police. Along with the farmers, police personnel were also injured. Many farmers including young farmer Shubhakaran had died on the Khanauri border.
