Holi festival will be celebrated across the country on 14 March. In such a situation, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given Holi gift to 1.86 crore families of the state. Gas cylinder refill will be distributed to 1.86 crore families of Uttar Pradesh with the amount of ₹ 1,890 crore of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.

CM Yogi Adityanath announced this through a post on X. Let us tell you that in its election manifesto, BJP had promised to give free cylinder refill to these beneficiaries on Diwali and Holi. The UP government started the scheme of giving free gas cylinders on Holi and Diwali on 10 November 2023. Under this scheme, the central government gives a subsidy of Rs 300, while the rest of the discount is given by the state government.
Last year on Diwali, Yogi Adityanath's government fulfilled this and gave cylinders by refilling them. Now refill cylinders will also be given on the festival of Holi. There are more than 1.85 crore beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana in the state, who can take advantage of it.
