Ammonia gas has leaked in an ice factory near Damoria bridge in Jalandhar. Due to which breathing problems have arisen in the area. There is an atmosphere of chaos in the entire area. However, there has been no loss of life in the incident.
Police sealed the area
The police have sealed the road from both sides and all the traffic is being sent over the Damoria bridge. On receiving the information about the incident, the police of police station-3 and the fire brigade team reached the spot. At present, the police have sealed the area. Only after the effect of the gas ends, anyone will be allowed to go on the said road.
This incident is of an ice factory built next to the building of MBD Books under Thana-3. There was a stir in the area during the gas leak. People passing near Damoria bridge are facing difficulty in breathing.
Difficulty in breathing and burning sensation in eyes
However, it has not been confirmed which gas has leaked from the factory. Local people say that they are having burning sensation in their eyes due to gas leak and people located more than a kilometer away are having difficulty in breathing. Let us tell you that the entire area has been sealed due to gas leak.
It has been learned that a lot of gas is leaking in the factory. This gas is having a great effect on the eyes and nose. Many people are still trapped inside the factory.
