45 incidents of fire due to Diwali night's crackers have been reported in Ludhiana. More than 35 water vehicles were engaged in extinguishing the fire. Around 100 fire personnel and officers were on duty throughout the night. The biggest fire incident was seen in village Jarkhar. Which is located near Gurdwara Alamgir Sahib.
According to the information, there is a warehouse of plastic goods in village Jarkhar where the fire broke out due to the spark of a cracker. People themselves gathered to extinguish the fire. They also informed the fire brigade about it. Till 12 o'clock in the night, fire brigade employees were on duty to control the fire in village Jakhar. There has been a loss of lakhs due to the fire.
Fire in police line
On the other hand, a terrible fire broke out in the police line as well. The spark of the cracker fell on the vehicles parked in the police line. After which the fire spread very fast and a large number of vehicles were burnt. Police officials informed the fire brigade about this. The fire was brought under control after 2 hours of hard work.
Cylinder exploded near LIG flat
It is being told that the cylinder exploded near the LIG flat located in Sector 32. According to the information, Sumit Kumar said that he lives with his mother and wife in flat number 551. At the time of the incident, his wife had gone to meet relatives somewhere. While he was standing in the street with his mother. Suddenly there was a loud explosion in the house. When he went inside the house and looked, the gas cylinder had exploded there.
According to the information, the flames of fire spread throughout the house. The local police was also informed about the matter. Sumit told that his entire house has been burnt. Along with this, the roof of the house has also broken. Cracks have appeared in the walls of four houses of the neighbors.
The fire was brought under control after about one and a half hours
A fire broke out in the warehouse of a plastic factory near Gurmel Park on Tibba Road. Due to the fire, the goods lying on the ground floor turned to ashes. According to people, the plastic material was so much that the fire brigade employees had a lot of difficulty in extinguishing the fire. By switching off the electricity of the area, the fire brigade employees controlled the fire for about one and a half hours.
Fire broke out on the third floor of a textile factory
A fire broke out on the third floor of a textile factory named Kid Aid in Guru Arjun Dev Nagar Street No. 6. The cause of the fire is not known. It is being told that hosiery items and some machines have been damaged due to the fire. Many other similar incidents were also seen.
