Farmers will block trains for 2 hours in Punjab-Haryana. Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher has announced this. Due to which people traveling by train on the first day of Navratri may face difficulties. Farmers have decided to stop trains over other issues including legal guarantee of MSP on crops.
Will sit on the track from 12:30 pm
Farmers will sit on the railway tracks from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. They have planned to stop trains at 35 places in 22 districts of Punjab and one place in Haryana. On the other hand, farmers will protest by stopping trains on 3 routes of Phillaur, Lohian Khas and Jalandhar Cantt station. Due to construction work in Jalandhar Cantt, trains were being diverted from these routes, due to which the problem can now deepen.
This protest will run under the banner of Samyukta Kisan Morcha (non-political) and Kisan Mazdoor Sangathan. Regarding this, Firozpur division and Ambala division have formally announced the cancellation and short termination of trains due to the 2-hour shutdown.
Trains are going to be stopped for the third time in the year
This is the third time this year when farmers are going to block the railway track. Earlier, farmers had blocked the railway track for the first time on 15 February in Amritsar. Then on 16 April, they started a protest on Shambhu track, which lasted for about 34 days.
These trains will be affected
Let us tell you that if we talk about the trains arriving late on Wednesday, then Amrapali Express 15707 was delayed by five hours, Amritsar Janseva Express 14617, Durgiana Express 12357 by four hours, Malwa Express 12919 by three and a quarter hours, Amritsar Vande Bharat Express 22487, Amritsar Express 14631 by one and a half hours, Sarayu Yamuna Express 14649 by one and a quarter hours.
Amritsar Express 11057, Pathankot Express 22429, Shalimar 14661 reached one hour late, Paschim Express 12925, Udhampur Express 22431 reached three quarters of an hour late. Whereas other trains including Swarn Shatabdi Express 12029, Shan-e-Punjab Express 12497, Ludhiana-Chehreta MEMU 04591, Amritsar Express 14506 will remain cancelled till 9th October.
