ED has taken a big action against Punjab Congress MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira. ED has seized Khaira's house in Chandigarh. His house is in Sector-5 of Chandigarh. Which is worth Rs 3.82 crore. Sukhpal Singh Khaira collected money illegally
ED investigation has revealed that Sukhpal Singh Khaira used illegal earnings of Rs 3.82 crore from crime related to drug smuggling. This amount was linked to the international drug syndicate, which was being run by Gurdev Singh and his foreign associates.
1800 grams of heroin, weapons recovered during investigation
According to ED, 1800 grams of heroin, weapons, Pakistani SIM cards, 24 gold biscuits and mobile phones were recovered during the search and investigation conducted by Punjab Police. Out of these, 350 grams of heroin, a Pakistani SIM, England-made 32 bore Webley Scott revolver, 24 live cartridges and 24 gold biscuits were recovered from Gurdev Singh. In this case, on 31 October 2017, the Special Court, Fazilka convicted Gurdev Singh and eight others.
Used illegal money in election campaign
The LD Special Court of Fazilka in its order on 31 October 2017 convicted Gurdev Singh and eight others under sections of the NDPS Act, 1985. The ED investigation revealed that Sukhpal Singh Khaira used crime money of Rs 3.82 crore received from Gurdev Singh and his foreign associates by the international drug syndicate. Sukhpal Singh Khaira had provided passport service in drug smuggling in exchange for this money. In return, Gurdev Singh gave an amount of 3.82 crores to Sukhpal Singh Khaira and this illegal money was used in his election campaign.

After this action, Khaira wrote on his ex that he did not receive any notice from ED. By taking such action, the agency is conducting a media trial against him. In return for raising the issues of Punjab, BJP and AAP together are misusing the agencies against him.
