Yellow alert issued in 9 districts

Due to which yellow alert has been issued in 9 districts today.
Light to moderate rain is expected in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Fatehgarh Sahib, Rupnagar, Patiala and SAS Nagar. Along with this, Sawan is going to start from 22nd July. It is estimated that the state will see monsoon rains after July 22.
Normal rain occurred in 4 districts of Punjab
So far in Punjab, only 4 districts Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Mansa and Sangrur have received normal rains. According to the Meteorological Department, up to 20 percent less rainfall is considered normal. Amritsar received 19 percent less rainfall while Tarn Taran received 22 percent more rainfall than normal. There has been 21 percent more rainfall in Mansa and 13 percent more rainfall in Sangrur. Rest parts of Punjab have recorded below normal rainfall. There has been 77% less rainfall in Fatehgarh Sahib and 76% less rainfall in Hoshiarpur.
