Chief Minister Rekha Gupta presented a budget of Rs 1 lakh crore in the Delhi Assembly. Under the Mahila Samridhi Yojana, every woman will be given Rs 2500 per month. This time, a generous amount of funds has been given to women in the Delhi budget. CM Rekha Gupta has presented the Delhi government's budget of Rs 1 lakh crore for the financial year 2025-26.
Will get health insurance
Rekha Gupta announced that the people of Delhi will now get health insurance of Rs 10 lakh. She also said that a provision of Rs 5100 crore has been made in the budget for the 'Mahila Samridhi Yojana'. Under this, every woman of Delhi covered under the scheme will be given financial assistance of Rs 2500 every month.
While presenting the budget in the assembly, CM Rekha Gupta said, 1 thousand crores will be spent for the development of road transport and infrastructure of Delhi and for connectivity in NCR. Also, keeping in mind the safety of women, 50 thousand additional CCTV cameras will be installed. There is a budget of 3843 crores for 50 thousand additional cameras for the safety of women. Apart from this, Atal canteens will be opened at 100 places, for which a budget of 100 crores will be allocated.
Rs 3227 crore will be spent on social pension scheme. CM Rekha Gupta said, 'At present there are 9.50 lakh beneficiaries which include 4.02 lakh senior citizens, 4.18 lakh widows and 1.30 lakh Divyangjans. A provision of Rs 3227 crore has been made for this scheme.'
500 new crèche and Anganwadi centers will open
A provision of Rs 210 crore has been made for financial assistance of Rs 21000 and 6 nutrition kits for pregnant women. Under Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan Yojana-2, we have kept a fund of 206 crores, under which 1000 Anganwadis will be converted into Saksham Anganwadis. Where there will be better facilities. For the National Creche Scheme, we will open 500 new crèche and Anganwadi centers for the crèche for the children of the poor. A fund of Rs 50 crore has been kept for this.
