A major accident took place in Fatehabad, Haryana late on Friday night due to fog. Here a cruiser car fell into the Bhakra canal. 12 people have died in this accident, while 2 people have been rescued. According to the information, 14 members of a family from village Mahamda had gone to attend a wedding in Jalalabad, Punjab. For which they had hired a cruiser car. When the family was returning from there on Friday night, the cruiser car fell into the Bhakra canal near Sardarwala due to heavy fog.
However, during this time the driver Jarnail Singh jumped from the car, which saved his life. At the same time, the driver started shouting on the spot as soon as he regained consciousness. This caused people to gather. After receiving the information, police and NDRF were called to the spot and the search operation started in the canal. The cruiser car was taken out at night.
11 bodies recovered during the operation
During this, NDRF took out the cruiser car with the help of a crane after about 2 hours of hard work. However, there was no person in it. Due to fog and cold at night, the rescue operation was stopped at night. After this, the team started the rescue operation again in the morning. 11 bodies were recovered during the operation.
4 bodies found in Punjab
On Saturday, the bodies of 7 people were found in Sirsa district. Out of these, 6 bodies were found in Kaluana Minor near village Gadrana. These include four women, one man, one 10-year-old girl. At the same time, a dead body was also found in Kaluana Minor near village Kurangawali. This dead body is of a child of about one and a half to two years. At the same time, 4 bodies were found in Farid's Head in Punjab. One body was recovered from Fatehabad at night itself.
