A new western disturbance will be active from December 27, the effect of which will also be seen in the hilly areas, due to which snowfall can occur. Due to snowfall, cold wave in Punjab and Rajasthan today will increase the chill of the people. Today and tomorrow, fog will prevail in the morning in areas like Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir. If the Meteorological Department is to be believed, the temperature will fall in the coming two days and the cold may increase in Punjab. Apart from this, a cold wave alert has also been issued in Punjab.
Dense fog will fall in Himachal
At the same time, in Himachal Pradesh too, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert of severe cold wave in the next 5 days. Amid the cold wave, a warning of dense fog has also been issued in two districts for 3 days from today.
Light rain will fall in the mountains
Apart from this, the minimum temperature has been recorded at zero degree Celsius in many areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, the minimum temperature in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Rajasthan was 4-8 degree Celsius. The lowest temperature in the plains was recorded at 3.8 degree Celsius in Adampur, Punjab. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert for light rain in the mountains.
