A call for Rail Roko Andolan has been given by Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee in Devidaspura, Amritsar today. Before the agitation, an ultimatum till 12 noon has been given to the government. Before starting the agitation, Sarwan Singh Pandher has also reacted to the statement of former Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar.
Pandher said that the farmers have made preparations on the Devidaspura railway track. They are sitting on the side of the track by putting up tents. It is being told that the administration officials DC and SSP have arrived now. If the demands of the farmers are accepted by 12 noon, then the agitation will be lifted.
Khattar had admitted that the farmers were stopped by putting up barricades
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher has called the statement given by former Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar his truth. He said that Khattar himself said that he has stopped the farmers in Haryana by putting up big barricades. The real truth is that because of him, the transport traders have all stopped. According to Khattar, the people of Haryana are happy with this. Whereas according to Pandher, this will be decided in the upcoming elections.
BJP is calling all the statements
He said that Khattar has a habit of making statements, earlier also he had given a statement against the farmers and then had to apologize. On the other hand, on the statement of Kangana Ranaut, Pandher said that she has called it her personal statement. Whereas she is an MP, whose statement is not personal. According to Pandher, BJP is calling all these statements.
Sit-in outside DC office yesterday
Agitation is being carried out by the farmers since yesterday regarding the demands from the Punjab government. Yesterday a sit-in was held in the DC office. At the same time, today there is an ultimatum to stop the train.
What are the demands from the government
The farmers had demanded jobs and compensation to the families of the martyrs in the agitation, compensation to the farmer laborers injured in the bus accident while returning to Shambhu Border Morcha, looting including stubble, problems related to Bharat Mala Project and solution to issues like shortage of DAP. In this regard, according to the farmers, no concrete solution to the demands was found yesterday.
The farmer leaders said that the attitude of the bureaucracy was completely indifferent, the administration did not take satisfactory action on any demand except compensation for the martyred farmers.
District President Ranjit Singh Kaler and state leader Gurbachan Singh Chaba said that we do not want to block the railway tracks. On this basis, we are once again giving time to the government till 12 o'clock. No train will be stopped till 12 o'clock. But if the government does not improve the situation of the demand, then we will be forced to sit on the railway line at 12 o'clock.
