Once again, flights have received bomb threats. This time Indigo and Akasa Airlines have received bomb threats. After which Indigo Airlines had to be called back to Delhi in an emergency. At the same time, Akasa's flight was diverted to Ahmedabad.
12 flights have received threats
A total of 12 flights have received bomb threats in the last 3 days. On the 14th, three international flights received threats, including one Air India flight and two Indigo flights. On October 15, 7 flights received bomb threats. These flights also included Air India Express' Delhi to Chicago flight. It was diverted to Canada and landed at Iqaluit Airport.
Akasa Airlines statement came out
Akasa Airlines said that on October 16, 2024, a flight flying from Delhi to Bangalore, carrying 174 passengers, 3 children and 7 crew staff, received a security alert. Akasa Air emergency teams are monitoring the situation and have advised the pilot to take the plane to Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport with utmost caution.
