Major action has been taken in the Lawrence Bishnoi interview case. The Punjab government has approved the dismissal of suspended DSP Gursher Singh. The government has sent his file to PPS. Also, the DGP of Punjab will be asked on the basis of which investigation he said that the interview did not take place in Punjab. Why did the DGP hurry to give a clean chit to Punjab jails, when he does not have the powers over the jails. The court said that if there is any mistake, it should be accepted.
Who is Lawrence, father's dream was to become an IAS officer
Lawrence was born in Duratanwali village located in Fazilka district of Punjab. Lawrence was very active and sporty since childhood. He used to wrestle, but his father's dream was that his son should become an IAS officer. After completing his 12th from Abohar, Lawrence went to Chandigarh. Here he took admission in DAV College.
Became friends with Goldie Brar
Gradually he started taking interest in student politics and here he became friends with Goldie Brar. On the other hand, Goldie Brar, who works for Lawrence Bishnoi gang while sitting abroad. In 2011, Lawrence formed an organization to contest elections. It was named 'Student Organization of Punjab University' i.e. SOPU. He contested elections under this banner, but lost.
The first murder case was registered when he was in college
After the defeat, Lawrence started feeling humiliated. He was haunted by the ghost of revenge. The same year he bought a revolver and clashed with the gang with which he had lost. There was an argument and scuffle between the two gangs. Meanwhile, Lawrence opened fire. Then the Punjab Police registered a case of attempted murder against him. This was the first case against Lawrence.
After this, Lawrence started getting involved in illegal activities. He joined the gang of gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Rocky Fazilka. Bhagwanpuria was a resident of Gurdaspur. He not only taught Lawrence the tricks of the trade but also gave him a free hand in his work.
Escaped from police custody
In 2014, Lawrence Bishnoi was arrested in Rajasthan and sent to Bharatpur jail. However, he could not remain in police custody for long. When he was being taken to Mohali for appearance, he escaped from police custody from there. He fled and reached Nepal. He stayed in Nepal for several months and continued his activities from there. Lawrence was arrested again in 2016. Since then, he is still in jail.
