But the audience who went to watch the first day first show of Article 370 has given their review on the social media platform Twitter.Aditya Suhas Jambhale’s film stars two women in power mainly Yami Gautam Dhar, Priya Mani, Arun Govil and Kiran Karmarkar.Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, 'Article 370' is a well-made film but will test your patience with its long run-time of 2 hours and 40 minutes. The filmmaker could have easily cut the first half that is wasted in setting up the premise. Crawling slower than a tortoise, the film wakes up only in the latter half and runs like a hare towards the finish line with paced drama but with predictable twists.
Excellent Performance by Actors
If there is a note of victory for the entire movie team, it definitely comes from the actors' performances. The two women in power and shouldering most of the job, Priya Mani and Yami Gautam make an impact on the audiences. Priya Mani as the joint secretary at the PMO (Prime Minister's Office) emerges as the brain behind getting the special status abrogated from Kashmir.One user wrote on X, "After Uri, it is natural to praise this film of Yami Gautam. Apart from her, another female actress Priyamani has played her powerful role in an excellent manner." Similarly, many users have described the film as excellent and praised Yami Gautam.
Advance booking at a swing
Talking about advance booking of the film, more than 12 thousand tickets have been sold so far. According to box office tracker Sacknilk, the first day collection of Yami Gautam's film is going to be Rs 5 crore. Now it remains to be seen how many crores the film opens on the first day.
Movie all about Betrayal of Kashmir
The movie tries to tell the harrowing tale of how Kashmir has been betrayed time and again, by politicians and bureaucrats. To keep themselves in power, they have allowed radicalisation, and continue to brainwash the youth into making them stone peters and hail the call for 'Azaadi'. While movie makers call it an 'inspired' film, you cannot ignore how the two leaders in Kashmir have been painted as Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, albeit in a darker shade.
PM Modi recommends it too
"I do not know what the film is all about, but yesterday I heard on TV that a film is coming on 'Article 370'. Good, it will be useful for people to get correct information," PM Narendra Modi said while addressing a rally in Jammu and kashmir earlier this week.
