There has been a blast outside Fatehgarh Chudiya Chowki in Amritsar. However, there is no information about any loss of life or casualties in this blast. A very deep crater has been seen at the blast site. However, after receiving the information about the blast, the Police Commissioner and other officers reached the spot. The police have refused to call it a grenade attack.
Police denied grenade attack
Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar refrained from calling it a grenade attack. He said that the impact of grenades is very high. But that impact is not visible here. Therefore, no kind of rumor should be spread. This post was operational earlier, but it was closed last year. Now it is not used by common people.

On 4 December, a grenade exploded in Majitha police station. On 13 December, a grenade exploded in Aliwal Batala police station. On 17 December, a grenade exploded in Islamabad police station. On 19 December, a blast took place at the closed police post Bakshiwala in Gurdaspur. On 21 December, the police post in Kalanaur, Gurdaspur was shaken by an explosion at night. On 9 January, there was news of an attack on Gumtala post in Amritsar. The police is not considering it an attack yet. On 15 January, a grenade attack took place on the house of a liquor businessman in Jaintipur, Majitha, Amritsar.
