Bahujan Samaj Party has suffered another setback in Punjab. Punjab State General Secretary Jaspreet Singh Bija has resigned from all his posts. Recently the high command expelled Punjab President Jasbir Singh Garhi from the party.
What is written in the letter?
Jaspreet Singh Bija has written a letter to the party. He wrote that I Dr. Jaspreet Singh Bija (General Secretary BSP Punjab, In-charge Lok Sabha Shri Fatehgarh Sahib, In-charge Assembly Constituency Payal) wholeheartedly resign from all my posts and basic membership on 07/11/2024. For the last 20 years, I have continuously served the party in various positions like General Secretary Punjab, Secretary Punjab, District President Youth Wing, Constituency President Youth Wing and Sector In-charge etc.
Won by 21 thousand votes in 2022
He further wrote, I contested the 2022 assembly elections from Payal constituency on behalf of the (BSP-Shiromani Akali Dal) alliance and got about 21,000 votes.
He wrote that recently, by issuing a Nadershahi Tughlaqi decree on behalf of BSP's central in-charge Randhir Singh Sainiwal, BSP's honest, hardworking, sensible and experienced leader, state president Jasvir Singh Garhi, who left his government job and worked day and night for the party, was humiliated under Jasikh and expelled from the party without thinking, which is being opposed by workers and leaders from all over the country and abroad.
