The US has issued an advisory to its citizens in view of the deteriorating security situation in Afghanistan. The Ministry of External Affairs has strictly advised against traveling there. He warned that the threats of terrorism, kidnapping, arbitrary arrests and human rights violations are constantly increasing in Afghanistan. Along with Afghanistan, the ministry has also issued advisories for 20 more countries. This warning was given for those countries where the lives of travelers may be in danger.
Advice not to travel
The US State Department has issued a level-4 "Do Not Travel" advisory. This level-4 advisory is considered the most important among travel warnings. This shows that the situation in the respective countries is dangerous for travelers. This warning for Afghanistan has been given keeping in mind their deteriorating security situation after the Taliban returned to power in 2021.
Advice to leave Afghanistan
The State Department has further warned that US citizens should avoid traveling to all these countries as there are problems like terrorism, civil unrest and war there. It also becomes very difficult to get help from the embassy in these countries. Citizens present in Afghanistan and other countries have been advised to leave the country immediately in a safe manner.
Tension in Afghanistan and Pakistan
Britain, Canada and Australia have also requested their citizens not to travel to Afghanistan. They have advised to leave from there citing increasing terrorist activities. According to reports, Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI is also helping in ISIS-K attacks. However, the Taliban administration has so far failed to stop these terrorist attacks. Due to which there is also tension in the relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Crisis on women under Taliban rule
The situation is constantly deteriorating inside the Taliban regime. Afghanistan is currently surrounded by war, humanitarian problems, economic hardships and security threats. Apart from Afghanistan, countries like Ukraine, Haiti, Iran, Russia and Yemen are also included in the Level-4 list. Among which war, political instability and violence are prominent. The warning of these countries also mentions the injury to human rights and atrocities on women. The serious crisis on women's freedom under the Taliban rule has become an important matter of international concern.
