An Air India flight from Mumbai to New York has received a bomb threat today. After receiving the bomb threat, the plane was diverted to Delhi. However, there is no information about any bomb being found yet. Investigation officials said that all the passengers are safe and investigation is going on. According to the information, there were 239 passengers on board the plane.
Emergency landing in Delhi
The Air India flight took off from Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport for New York at 2 am late night. During this time, the plane received a bomb threat. After this threat, the plane was diverted to Delhi. Officials said that the plane is currently parked at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.
Threat was received earlier too
Last month also, an Air India flight flying from Mumbai had received a bomb threat. After this, the plane was landed at Thiruvananthapuram Airport. A message 'There is a bomb in the flight' was found on a tissue paper in the washroom of the plane.
