New rules have been implemented regarding electricity bills in Punjab. Actually, till now the bills sent every month by the Punjab Electricity Board were in English, which was difficult for common people to read. But now people have started getting electricity bills in Punjabi language as well. Earlier, bill slips were available only in English. Now the department has started printing bills in Punjabi language along with English and giving them to the people.

Now electricity bills have started coming in Punjabi as well

Let us tell you that the Punjab-Haryana High Court was approached regarding this matter. After this, hearing started in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Now the High Court has disposed of this petition. Electricity board bills will be available in Punjabi language so that common people can understand them. Apart from this, if someone requests to send the bill in English, then he will be given the bill in the same language.
