25 coaches of a goods train derailed about 800 meters before Vrindavan railway station. This goods train was carrying coal. The incident happened around 9 pm. There was no loss of life in this accident. Vrindavan railway station falls in Mathura district. This is a major railway route through which trains go towards the west. It includes parts of Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and UP.
Accident happened on Delhi-Mumbai line
After this accident, the Delhi-Mathura track was completely disrupted. 18 trains were diverted. At the time of the accident, the speed of the goods train was 55 kilometers per hour. According to reports, coal from the train was spread everywhere. Rescue teams have reached the spot. According to the information received, the accident happened on the Delhi-Mumbai line.
The train was going to Delhi with coal
Pro of Agra Railway Division, Prashanti Srivastava said that the goods train was going to Delhi with coal from Mathura. But as soon as the train reached 800 meters ahead of Vrindavan Road Railway Station, the coupling broke and the accident happened.
