The Brits Desi Society (BDS) celebrated its first-ever community event, marking a significant milestone in fostering connections between the UK and India. The event was well-attended by members of the Leicester community and local dignitaries.
On this occasion, Mr. Rishu Walia, Chairman of Brits Desi Society, outlined the organisation’s objectives and its vision to strengthen cultural, social, and economic ties between the UK and India. Mr. Walia also highlighted the Society’s commitment to addressing community issues and empowering individuals through collaborative initiatives.

During the event, Mr. Walia introduced the Society’s Management Committee:

The Society’s Patron, Mr. Resham Singh Sandhu, graced the occasion with his presence, underscoring the importance of unity and cultural preservation.
Local MP Shivani Raja, Shadow Parliamentary Private Secretary for Equalities, congratulated Mr. Walia and the Management Committee on this successful event.
