Sikh Coordination Committee protested against the turbaning of the new Jathedar of Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gadgaj, in Jalandhar. In this regard, workers of Sikh Coordination Committee reached outside the house of Kulwant Singh Mannan, the chief secretary of the committee that removed the Jathedar, in Aman Nagar and protested. Police was also present during this.

Police stopped them by putting up barricades

Members of Sikh Coordination Committee, who had come to protest, started raising slogans outside Mannan’s house. During this, the police stopped the members of Sikh Coordination Committee and their supporters. After the police stopped them, the members and workers of the committee started reciting the paath by laying mats outside the house.

Mannan’s supporters also reached the spot

As soon as the supporters of Kulwant Mannan came to know about this protest, they also reached outside the house in large numbers. Due to which the atmosphere became tense. More than 70 police personnel were present on the spot and they kept the atmosphere under control. ACP Rishabh Bhola said that the situation will not be allowed to go out of control in any way at the spot.
