Timings for Government and Government Aided Schools
1. Single Shift Schools
Staff Timings: 8:45 am to 2:45 pm
Student Timings: 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
2. Double Shift Schools (Class 6 and above)
Staff Timings: 8:45 am to 2:45 pm
Student Timings: 9:30 am to 2:30 pm
3. Classes 1 to 5
Staff Timings: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Student Timings: 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm
Meanwhile, Punjab State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Chairman Kanwardeep Singh recommended the Punjab School Education Department to change the timings of government and private schools for the convenience of school children in view of the harsh winter and dense fog Recommendation to extend the time till 31 January Giving more information in this regard, Chairman of Punjab State Child Rights Protection Commission Kanwardeep Singh said that due to severe cold and dense fog in the state, school going children are facing great difficulties. Apart from this, small children are avoiding coming to school due to cold. For the convenience of school children, he has recommended the Punjab School Education Department to extend the opening time of government and private schools till 10 am till January 31.
