Now you will have to pay more to buy small and fancy numbers. The government has also issued a notification regarding this on Wednesday.

According to the government notification, now people will have to pay more money to get VIP numbers. While earlier the price of number 0001 was Rs. 2.5 lakhs, now its price has increased to Rs. 5 lakhs. While the reserve prices of 0002 to 0009 and 0786, which had a reserve price of Rs. 25 thousand, have been increased 8 times to Rs. 2 lakhs.

Similarly, the reserve prices of other numbers have also been increased. Along with this, numbers like 1100, 2200, 3300, 6300 have also been put up for online auction. To keep a check on brokers, Aadhaar KYC has been made mandatory to participate in the bidding.
