Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Cheema has expressed disappointment over the budget. He said that none of our demands were met. We had demanded rail connectivity and Rs 1,000 crore for strengthening the border area. The central government does not want a solution to the problem.
Punjab ignored again
CM Mann wrote on Twitter that once again the central government has ignored Punjab in the budget. The central government has not given anything to the farmers and youth of Punjab. The center has neither given MSP on crops to the farmers, nor has the state been given a package for any industry.
The center has treated Punjab step-motherly
He further wrote that nothing has been given to Punjab that can improve its economic and future. This budget is only an election budget, in which there are announcements only for the state of Bihar. Once again in the budget, the central government has treated Punjab and Punjabis step-motherly. But we will make Punjab stand on our own feet.
