There has been a police encounter with those who carried out the blast at Thakurdwara temple in Khandwala, Amritsar. One miscreant has died in this encounter. The deceased accused has been identified as Gursidak alias Siddiqui, while the other accomplice Vishal alias Chui absconded.
One died during treatment
According to the information, the accused clashed with the police near Hotel Radisson on Airport Road in Amritsar. When the police chased them, the miscreants opened fire on the police. In the retaliatory action of the police, one of the accused got shot, the injured Gursidak was taken to the Civil Hospital for treatment. But he died during treatment.
At present, the search for absconding accused Vishal is on and the police is conducting raids to catch him. Let us tell you that these two miscreants had carried out a grenade attack outside the temple at around 12:35 am on Friday-Saturday night. Fortunately, when this grenade exploded, there were no devotees in the temple. This entire incident was captured in CCTV.
