One miscreant was injured in this encounter. He has been identified as Veerbhadra, who has been admitted to the Civil Hospital for treatment. While the other youth has been arrested by the police.

Firing took place between car drivers and police

Giving information, the SSP said that the police party had blocked the Barnala-Mansa road. During this, a speeding black Verna was signaled to stop. The youths in the car started firing at the police. In retaliatory firing, the police took control of the car and arrested the two youths riding in it.

10 to 12 cases registered against the accused

A large quantity of narcotic pills were seized from the car. The weapon (revolver) found with the person in the car has also been recovered. SSP Barnala said that 10 to 12 cases are registered against the arrested accused. There is also information that they are associated with a gang, but the investigation is still going on.
