The earthquake in Taiwan has shaken the entire country. According to Indian time, these earthquake tremors were felt at 1.30 am on Monday night. The speed of the earthquake was measured 6.4 on the Richter scale and more than 15 people have been injured in it. This includes women and children as well.

Many houses destroyed due to the earthquake

Many houses were destroyed due to the earthquake in Taiwan. In Nanxi of Tainan city, the entire house collapsed due to the earthquake. 6 people living in it got buried in it. People rescued them and took them out. Apart from this, the Zhuwei bridge on the state highway has also been damaged due to the impact of the earthquake. However, the matter of relief is that there is no news of anyone’s death.

Destruction has happened in Taiwan before as well

Earthquakes are not new in Taiwan. In April 2023, a 7.4 magnitude earthquake in Hualien city killed 13 people and more than a thousand people were injured. An earthquake in the year 2016 killed more than 100 people, while in 1999 a 7.3 magnitude earthquake killed about 2000 people. Taiwan’s geographical location puts it in the most vulnerable zone of earthquakes as it is located between two tectonic plates.
