The cabinet meeting of the Punjab government has approved the Chief Minister’s Tirtha Yojana. Under this scheme, the government will organize free religious tours for people above 50 years of age. The government has kept a budget of Rs 100 crore for this scheme.
Registration will start from this day
For planning religious tours, first you will have to go to the government website and get registered. Registration will start from the last week of April. Religious tours will start from May. The elderly will be taken on these religious tours in AC vehicles.
The journey will be from Golden Temple to Ayodhya
During this journey, the government will also take care of the food of the elderly. It is being told that the government will take them to other religious places including Golden Temple, Durgiana Temple and Ayodhya Shri Ram Temple in UP. This journey will be done by both bus and train.
