The Chandigarh-Manali National Highway has been closed due to landslide. Meanwhile, a private bus came under the grip of a landslide on the National Highway this morning. During this, the bus overturned and stopped on the roadside wall. 4 people including the driver and conductor were injured in this. The injured are currently undergoing treatment.
This accident happened at 6.50 am on Friday. When the private bus going from Manali to Pathankot reached near Banala, there was a sudden landslide from the hill. Driver Jaswant Singh, conductor Ankush and two other passengers were injured in this. The bus overturned on the side of the road after a large amount of debris fell from the hill. Fortunately, the bus did not fall into the ravine below.
Schools and colleges closed in Kullu today
Heavy rain and snowfall has been continuing in Himachal Pradesh for the last two days. Also, several feet of snow has accumulated in the upper areas of the state. Due to rain and snowfall in Lahaul-Spiti and Kullu-Manali, life has been completely disrupted. Due to which all teaching institutes and Anganwadi centers are closed in Kullu today on Friday.
