Cases of HMPV (Human Metapneumovirus) are being seen in the country. Keeping this in mind, Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh has issued an advisory for the people of the state. He said that people have been appealed to wear masks before leaving the house.
No need to panic, we are ready
Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said that there is no need to be afraid or panic about this virus. No case of this has been reported in Punjab so far. The state government is in touch with the Center regarding this disease and is ready to deal with any situation arising from it.
Wear a mask in crowded areas
He further said that people whose immunity health is weak or those who are more than 60 years old should go out wearing a mask in crowded places. This virus is not as serious as corona, its symptoms are like flu and it is not fatal. The Health Department of Punjab is ready to fight every kind of situation.
Punjab doctors on alert
Minister Dr. Balbir Singh said that we have learned a lot from the corona virus, so we are fully prepared for this virus. Doctors of Punjab are on alert and advisory has been issued to them as well. Every kind of treatment will be free in Punjab.
