Two officers of I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (I.K.G.PTU) retired on 31 December 2024. These officers include University Executive Engineer Harvinder Pal Singh and Deputy Registrar (Senior Scale) Rajinder Dogra. A retirement ceremony was organized in the university on the occasion of retirement of both the officers. Vice Chancellor of the University Prof (Dr) Sushil Mittal was the chief guest at the ceremony, while Registrar Dr. S.K. Mishra was the special guest.
Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Mittal wished both the officers good luck for moving forward to the next stage after retirement. At the same time, Registrar Dr. Mishra remembered the good work done by both the officers in their respective departments and wished them a better future. During the open house held during this time, University Controller Examinations Dr. Paramjit Singh, Finance Officer Dr. Sukhbir Singh Walia shared experiences related to both the officers.
The welcome address was given by Deputy Registrar HR Dr. Nitya Sharma. The function was organized by the Human Resources Department of the University. The stage was conducted by Deputy Registrar Public Relations Rajneesh Sharma. On this occasion, Dean of the University Dr. R.P.S. Bedi, Dr. Balkar Singh, Dr. Hitesh Sharma, Dr. Satbir Singh and other officers, faculty members, staff members were present.
