An inspector posted at a check post in Mohali was found sleeping in his car during duty. After this incident, SSP Deepak Parik took strict action and issued orders to suspend Inspector Bhupinder Singh.
This action was taken at 3 am, when the SSP made a surprise visit to the check posts adjoining Chandigarh, Haryana and Himachal. During checking, the said inspector was sleeping in his car, on which strict action has been taken and he has been suspended.
Will not tolerate negligence – SSP
The SSP has issued orders that all police personnel should perform their duties with honesty and responsibility. The SSP said that such negligence in duty will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
