On Saturday, the lintel of the under-construction station at Kannauj railway station in Uttar Pradesh suddenly collapsed. More than 40 workers were buried in it. So far 22 people have been taken to the district hospital. Out of these, 4 have been referred to Kanpur. Three deaths have been confirmed in the accident, while many people are feared dead.

Rescue operation has been started after the accident. The injured were taken to the hospital by e-rickshaw. Senior officers have ordered an investigation into the incident. 1 JCB and 3 fire brigade vehicles are engaged in rescue at the spot.
