The Punjab government has declared a government holiday on Wednesday, February 12. Due to the Prakashotsav of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, a full day holiday has been declared in all government and non-government educational institutions. Along with this, now a half-day holiday has been declared in Pathankot on February 10.

Announcement of half-day holiday

A huge procession is being taken out in Pathankot city in connection with the Prakashotsav of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji. Due to which many traffic routes of the city have been changed. Therefore, keeping in mind the religious sentiments of the people and the convenience and safety of the students of schools and colleges, a half-day holiday has been declared on February 10 in all government, non-government schools and colleges within the limits of district Pathankot.

According to the order issued by the Deputy Commissioner Pathankot, this holiday will be after noon. However, there will be no holiday in those schools and colleges where board and university examinations are scheduled.
