Torrent could not buy Gujarat Titans in 2021

The Torrent Group official said that we were in the race to buy the Gujarat Titans franchise in the year 2021 as well. For this, we had also bid Rs 4653 crore, but we missed buying it. But this time a friendly deal has been done between CVC Group and Torrent. The official deal will be signed as soon as the lock-in period ends.

Titans can be sold for 7800 crores

It is being said that this deal will be done for 6100-7800 crores. This deal has been done as a ‘friendly shakehand’ between the senior officials of both the groups. Because the lock-in period of Titans is still going on. According to BCCI rules, no group can sell its franchise during the lock-in period.

Adani was also interested in buying the team

CVC Group bought it in 2021 for Rs 5,625 crore. Businessman Gautam Adani was also in the race to buy this franchise. Adani Group had also bid Rs 5,100 crore for it, but then CVC Group won the bid by bidding more than them.
