An encounter took place between the police and the criminals in Tarn Taran, Punjab. During this, the criminals fired at the police. But in the retaliatory firing, both the criminals were injured after being shot in the legs. The criminals have been identified as Prakash Singh and Prabhjit Singh of Tarn Taran district.
Both were involved in demanding ransom
Giving information, SP Ajay Raj Singh said that when our team signaled a motorcycle to stop, the bike-riding criminals opened fire on the police teams. In this retaliatory firing, they were shot in the legs. The injured Prakash Singh and Prabhjit Singh are involved in two recent firing incidents. Also, both the criminals used to demand ransom from people in the area.

Both are in contact with gangster Prabh Dasuwal. A 32 bore weapon, three used cartridges and two live rounds have been recovered from the accused. At present, the police have started investigating the matter.
