Amritsar Police has taken major action against drug smugglers. Police has encountered drug smuggler Dharminder Singh alias Sonu. Police had brought him to recover heroin from the accused. But during this time the accused tried to escape. Sonu was injured during police action.

Let us tell you that recently 8 kg heroin was recovered from Dharminder Singh alias Sonu, which was also informed by Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar in a press conference. During police interrogation, he told about more heroin. After which the police brought him to recover the second consignment on Majitha Road in Amritsar. But during this time the accused tried to escape and he was injured in police firing.

Encounter also took place in Jalandhar

Earlier, the police had an encounter in Jalandhar. Late night, the police had an encounter near Chuhadwali in Adampur and four people including a woman were arrested.
