Amritsar Police has taken major action against drug smugglers. Police has encountered drug smuggler Dharminder Singh alias Sonu. Police had brought him to recover heroin from the accused. But during this time the accused tried to escape. Sonu was injured during police action.

During police interrogation, he told about more heroin. After which the police brought him to recover the second consignment on Majitha Road in Amritsar. But during this time the accused tried to escape and he was injured in police firing.
